Boreal Journeys Sled Dog Kennel is owned and operated by Paul Amano with the love and support of Andrena Toth. Paul has been guiding dog sled trips ever since being introduced to it while a student in the Outdoor Recreation Parks and Tourism program at Lakehead University. Since then he has guided sled trips in the Yukon and Quebec, but has always come back to Thunder Bay. Andrena is relatively new to the world of mushing, but is a natural with the dogs. She has developed a strong relationship with the team that is built on respect and trust.
The most important part about our home is our dogs. Our 33 Alaskan huskies love people as much as they love running down the trail surrounded by boreal forest.

At Boreal Journeys we strive to foster the development of strong relationships between our guests and our dogs. We are a small kennel that offers a very personal experience. The intimate nature of our programs allows participants the ability to have an enriched adventure.
We also strive to expose our guests to the awe inspiring world of north western Ontario. We share our passion for the community, culture, and natural history with visitors in order to create a unique context for their adventure. Inquire about our programs.
