Community

Boreal Journeys takes pride in being a contributing community member. We have contributed to efforts of many community groups, including Children's Centre Thunder Bay, The Canadian Mental Health Association, Thunder Bay Art Gallery, North of Superior Tourism Association, Slow Food Superior, Katimavik, and others through donations and sponsorships.

This year, Boreal Journeys will be focusing efforts towards developing and providing programming for Children's Centre Thunder Bay. We would welcome any support for our efforts to help the Children's Centre achieve their mission. There are ways for individuals and businesses to support us and our community efforts on the right.

John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon

photoAnother way that we try to engage our community is by participating in big events and acting as ambassadors for Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.  We've entered the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon mid-distance race again this year. The race celebrates the vital role of mail carrier John Beargrease in the early history of the North Shore of Lake Superior. Follow Paul on facebook as he prepares to race approximately 150 miles carrying mail as John Beargrease once did over 100 years ago. We don't want to be alone on the race trail. We want to know our community is behind us. Follow along live online and on internet based television stations. Visit the Beargrease website for all appropriate links. Help support us in one of the ways listed on the right.
