David

David is one of the dogs in our first litter of puppies. He is named after two people: Our friend Dave Challen and famous Canadian geographer and explorer, David Thompson of the North West Company. David was named for these two other adventurous Davids because he was the first of his littermates to adventure out of the dog house and explore the rest of the puppy pen. His fast development as a puppy continued in his first season as a sled dog. He was a natural from the very start and was quickly moved up the team until finding himself in lead.
